What I Learned from Living an Entire Year without Money

In this article, I am going to share a dark side of my past, which I believe many people can relate to. It was a time when I was struggling to set up my own business, facing challenges that tested my patience, resilience, and faith.

Time has taught me that if you dare to walk a different path, the world will turn against you. And sadly, it starts with your own people. There was no financial support from family, nor any encouragement.

Instead, there were constant attempts to pull me down. Outsiders would mock me, doubting my dreams and making remarks that could have broken my spirit.

But my faith in Lord Shiva never wavered. I didn’t want to answer them with words; I wanted my actions to speak for themselves.

Surviving with almost no money

In those days, money was a luxury I could barely afford. Whatever I earned from freelance projects would get spent by the end of the month.

There were days when I didn’t know how I would manage the next meal for my wife and kids. I had reached a point where I would eat today only if I earned today.

Still, no matter how tough the circumstances were, Lord Shiva never let me and my family sleeps hungry.

I learned how to make the most of every rupee, ensuring that even the smallest earnings were used wisely. I took advantage of every opportunity, no matter how small, just to keep things moving.

Financial struggles taught me the real meaning of resilience. It forced me to think creatively, work hard, and develop skills that later became my biggest strengths.

Facing the world alone

The hardest part of this journey was loneliness. I had no financial support, no mentor to guide me, and worst of all, no emotional support.

My parents and relatives mocked my ambitions, believing that someone from a middle-class background like me could never achieve great things. Their words hurt me, but I turned that pain into motivation.

People love to doubt you when you are struggling, but the same people respect you when you succeed. Today, people who once mocked me have to book an appointment 3-4 days in advance to meet me.

Lessons from a year without money

Living with almost no money for a year changed me forever. I learned:

✅ The value of money and financial discipline.

✅ The importance of self-belief when no one else believes in you.

✅ That struggles are temporary, but the lessons they teach last a lifetime.

✅ That people will only support you when you no longer need their support.

The bold decision that changed everything

Despite all the hardships, I never gave up. I took those tough times as a test of my patience and faith. I worked day and night, believing that one day my hard work would pay off.

And today, I am living the life I had only ever imagined. A life that my middle-class relatives never even dreamt of.

My business empire is growing every day, and my income is too. But the real victory isn't in the money, it's in proving to myself that I was capable of making my own destiny.

Final Thoughts

If you are struggling today, know that your hardships are shaping you for something greater. People will doubt you, mock you, and try to pull you down but none of that matters if you keep moving forward.

Your success is the best answer for them!

Because when you finally make it, the world will have no choice but to respect you.
