Government of India releases commemorative postage stamp on Covid-19 Vaccine
In India Commemorative postage stamp on the
COVID-19 vaccine released

The
Government of India has released a commemorative postage stamp on the Covid-19 Vaccine to mark the first anniversary of the National Covid-19 Vaccination
Programme.
It was
released by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh
Mandaviya, it is worth noting that the National Covid-19 Vaccination Program
was started in India on 16th January 2021.
This postage
stamp depicts a health worker administering a vaccine to a senior citizen of
the Covid-19 vaccine, also depicts a vial of a vaccine called 'Covaxin'.
This stamp
shows the remarkable work done by our frontline healthcare workers across the country
to save people from the corona pandemic.
More than
156 crore Covid vaccines have been administered in India within a span of one
year, so far around 93% of the eligible population have been given the first
dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and 69.8% of the eligible population has been
given the second dose and termed India's vaccination drive as the most
successful in the world.
